Promoting DX in the construction industry
to be Japan's first* hands-on digital measurement experience facility
"BuildTech" was established at Topcon Corporation's headquarters to provide visitors with hands-on experience of construction DX (Digital Transformation) solutions by creating a demo space that simulates a real construction site.
The entire indoor space reproduces a wide range of construction site conditions, and allows visitors to experience 3D digital measurement at each step of the construction process: marking (positioning), installation, and inspection.
Visitors can systematically learn and understand Topcon's building construction solutions, including the linkage of measured data with BIM data and how it can be used at construction sites.

Experience digital measurement hands-on
BuildTech has a full lineup of measuring instruments and various other equipment to provide a realistic experience of measuring actual building components and models using real equipment.
You can learn about digital measurement methods through hands-on experience, which will encourage you in solving the problems you are facing.
14 different demonstration programs are available, and more to come.
BuildTech offers demonstrations and measurement experiences that provide a hands-on understanding of 14 different solutions.
You can learn about a variety of measurements in a comprehensive manner or delve into a single measurement to understand and master it.
It can also be used as a discussion forum for the creation of new measurement methods, hardware, and software.
1. Layout work using LN and BIM/CAD design data.
2. Installation of batter boards for foundation using LN.
3. Layout work and inspection of piles using LN and BIM/CAD data.
4. Verification of foundations using BIM models.
5. Verification of anchor bolt positions using LN.
6. Overlay comparison of CAD drawings and scanned data.
7. Real-time verification of steel columns plumbness using LN.
8. Comparison of BIM model and scan data for columns and beams.
9. Evaluation of concrete floor flatness using scan data and software.
10. Evaluation of concrete slope gradients using scan data and software.
11. Navigation of MEP layout markings using LN.
12. Creation of BIM models of plumbing and structural members using scan data.
13. Verification of interior wall placement.
14. Verification of insulation thickness using scan data.
Virtual demonstrations are also available.
BuildTech equips cameras and mixers available for streaming.
We can remotely demonstrate instruments to hold any session for a distant location or for multiple locations at the same time.
