Warning Notice: Counterfeit Versions of Sokkia's Auto Level
Thank you for your continued patronage of Topcon products.
We have detected that Auto Levels SOKKIA “B30/B40” Series and SOKKIA “B30A/B40A” Series are being sold on various E-commerce and auction sites. The counterfeit versions are not designed or manufactured by TOPCON Corporation or any of our related companies, and the sites display SOKKIA logos, our brand names, and trademarks without our permission. These products also do not meet our quality standards.
Consequently, there is a significant risk of causing substantial harm to our customers’ business by using this counterfeit product.
Furthermore, please be advised that TOPCON Corporation will not accept any responsibility for repairs or damages resulting from the use of counterfeit versions of our products. Therefore, we kindly urge you to be cautious when purchasing from e-commerce or auction websites.
TOPCON Corporation has been taking actions to eliminate counterfeit products from the market to ensure that you can use TOPCON products without any worries.

Characteristics Of The Identified Counterfeit Products
Counterfeit Auto Levels: SOKKIA B30 / B40
These models were officially discontinued for manufacturing and selling in 2017 and have since been replaced by new versions, namely SOKKIA B30A / B40A. Our investigation has confirmed that the SOKKIA B30 / B40 models are not manufactured by TOPCON Corporation or any of our related companies, and these are clearly counterfeit products infringing our intellectual property rights.
Counterfeit Auto Levels: SOKKIA B30A / B40A
(1) Main Unit: Eye piece unit – the upper side
The lid features a different embossed finish: The counterfeit units have no embossing.
(2) Main Unit: Eyepiece unit – the bottom part
The groove design is different, with the counterfeit version exhibiting a wider groove.
(3) Main Unit: Leveling foot screw– shaft
The shaft is different in shape.
(4) Main Unit: Leveling foot screw – knob
The knob looks similar but differs in the inner part: The genuine one has the material indication “>ABS<“, and circles in the spokes at the middle; The counterfeit one has no indication.
(5) Main Unit: Compensator cover gap
The cover gap is different: The counterfeit unit has a larger gap.
(6) Hard Carrying Case: Upper cover / Foam cushioning
The counterfeit case does not include black protective components for the product, and the foam cushioning on the upper cover differs from the original.
